I don’t know. Even though I was laughing when I saw the video (especially the kid running into the house), I kind of feel it was pretty irresponsible of the parents to bring the kid on TV and maybe the producer as well (although I understand that it was a good story. I just found this video. Again, the cop may have been an asshole. Maybe Gates is an asshole. But I think the woman’s comments are spot on. Obama talks about this being a “teachable moment”. And I am sure he means a teachable moment in terms of racial issues in America.
