I received an email from someone in Florida after I posted a few odd news stories. Florida has some really stupid laws. One of them is the no-fault law. Basically, if someone hits you or causes an accident they can be cited with a ticket, but when it comes to insurance and points on your record it still affects the victim in the crash. It still shows up on your insurance record!! Here is an excerpt from an email I received:
“I live in Florida and was involved in 2 accidents over the past 2 years where 2 cars blindsided me. I am sure you are aware of how bad the drivers are down here! Well I got my car insurance quarterly statement and the bill was for $200.00 more than I expected. Fortunately, I found your blog and went to a car title loan site you recommended. I was able to get the cash I needed to pay off my insurance bill and now I am gonna write a letter to my congressmen to get this stupid law repealed”
